The Railway recruitment Cell(RRC) Northern Railway released notification for the recruitment of 4116 Apprentices posts. Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Northern Railway (NR) is the official recruitment body responsible for hiring Group D (Level-1) and Act Apprentices in the Northern Railway zone of Indian Railways. It operates under the Ministry of Railways and manages all recruitment processes for eligible candidates across the Northern Railway jurisdiction. | Screening & Scrutiny | Applications will be screened and scrutinized. There will be no written test or viva. |
| Merit Basis Selection | Selection of Act Apprentices will be based on the average of percentage marks obtained in both Matriculation/SSC/10th (with minimum 50% aggregate marks) and ITI, giving equal weightage to both. |
| Tie-Breaking Criteria | If two candidates have the same marks, the older candidate will be preferred. If the Date of Birth is also the same, the candidate who passed matriculation earlier will be considered first. |
| Merit List Preparation | A final merit list will be prepared cluster-wise, trade-wise, and community-wise in descending order of the average percentage of marks in Matriculation/10th and ITI. |
| Document Verification | If any discrepancy is found between the marks entered in the online application and the marksheet/certificate during document verification, the candidature will be rejected. |
