Only Indian Nationals who are domiciles of Chandigarh, Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Leh Ladakh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand are eligible. Candidates must have passed the required degree or diploma in 2024 or after 2024. Graduate and Diploma candidates must possess a full-time regular four-year degree or three-year regular diploma in the relevant engineering discipline recognized by AICTE, Government of India. ITI candidates must possess an ITI/NCVT certificate in the relevant trade from an institution recognized by AICTE, Government of India. The minimum age is 18 years and the maximum age is 26 years as on 16 September 2026, with applicable relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD categories.

AAI Apprentice Recruitment 2026 does not involve a written examination. Provisional selection will be made on the basis of the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination. In case of equal percentage, date of birth and thereafter date of passing will be considered for seniority. Shortlisted eligible candidates will be called through registered email for interview and document verification. Final selection will be based on interview, verification of certificates and submission of a medical fitness certificate.

Airports Authority of India, Northern Region has invited applications for 205 Graduate, Diploma and ITI Apprentices for the 2026-27 apprenticeship training programme. The seats comprise 80 Graduate Apprentices, 65 Diploma/Technician Apprentices and 60 ITI Trade Apprentices. The training duration is one year and the apprentices will be placed at various airports and offices under AAI Northern Region.

Provisional selection will be based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination. Candidates shortlisted on merit will be called through registered email for interview and document verification. Final selection will be made after verification of original documents and submission of a medical fitness certificate. Selected candidates will receive an apprenticeship engagement letter and must sign the apprenticeship training contract on the NATS/NAPS portal.

Graduate Apprentices will receive a monthly stipend of ₹15,000, comprising the AAI share and Government share through DBT. Diploma/Technical Apprentices will receive ₹12,000 per month, while ITI Trade Apprentices will receive ₹9,600 per month. The apprenticeship training period is 12 months.

No application fee is being charged for AAI Apprentice Recruitment 2026. Candidates must first register on the concerned NATS or NAPS portal and then apply online for the apprenticeship position.

The last date for submitting the application is 16 September 2026. Graduate/Diploma candidates must apply through the NATS portal and ITI candidates through the Apprenticeship India/NAPS portal. Candidates can apply for only one discipline; applications for more than one discipline will be rejected. The allocated airport, station or unit will be final and requests for change of training location will not be entertained. AAI has no obligation to provide regular employment after completion of apprenticeship training.

Candidates must keep their educational qualification certificates, marksheets, domicile proof, category certificates where applicable, apprenticeship portal registration details and other required documents ready. Shortlisted candidates must produce original documents and submit self-attested copies and soft copies during document verification. A medical fitness certificate issued by a Government Medical Officer or Medical Officer of a Government Undertaking is required at the time of joining.
