ESIC Medical College Chennai Faculty Recruitment 2026 Notification Out for 54 Posts
The Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Medical College & Hospital, K.K. Nagar, Chennai has released the Teaching Faculty Recruitment 2026 notification for 54 vacancies on a contractual basis. The recruitment includes Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor posts across various medical, surgical and super-speciality departments. Eligible candidates possessing the required qualifications, teaching experience and NMC-recognized credentials can participate in the walk-in interview scheduled on 01 and 02 July 2026. Selected candidates will receive attractive consolidated monthly remuneration of up to ₹2.56 lakh along with admissible allowances as per ESIC rules. Candidates must possess educational qualifications, teaching experience and research publications as prescribed under the Eligibility Qualifications in TEQ in Medical Institutions Regulations, 2025 issued by NMC. Applicants must be registered with any State Medical Council or NMC. Maximum age limit is 67 years, however candidates up to 69 years may be considered subject to tenure not extending beyond 70 years.

No written examination has been prescribed under the normal recruitment process. Selection will be based primarily on interview performance. If the number of applicants is high, ESIC may conduct a screening test consisting of multiple-choice questions in the concerned discipline for shortlisting purposes. ESIC Medical College & Hospital, K.K. Nagar, Chennai has announced 54 contractual Teaching Faculty vacancies comprising 12 Professor posts, 18 Associate Professor posts and 24 Assistant Professor posts across Medical, Surgical and Super Speciality departments including Psychiatry, Radiology, Cardiology, Neurology, Oncology, Nephrology, ICU, Orthopedics and others.

Selection will be based on eligibility scrutiny and interview conducted by the Selection Board. Minimum qualifying interview marks are 50 for UR/EWS, 45 for OBC and 40 for SC, ST and PwBD candidates out of 100 marks. In case of a tie, higher age and earlier date of obtaining the essential degree will be considered.

Selected candidates will receive consolidated monthly remuneration of ₹2,56,671 for Professor, ₹1,70,681 for Associate Professor and ₹1,46,638 for Assistant Professor. Approximate monthly earnings including admissible allowances are ₹2,68,047, ₹1,82,057 and ₹1,58,014 respectively.
