Indian nationals with the prescribed educational qualifications, minimum percentage of marks and age criteria are eligible to apply for the Executive positions. Graduate Engineer candidates require a full-time regular B.Tech./BE/equivalent degree in the prescribed engineering disciplines with at least 65% marks for General/EWS/OBC(NCL) and 55% marks for SC/ST/PwBD candidates. Officer (Marketing) candidates require a full-time regular MBA/PG Diploma in Business Administration with Marketing specialization and at least 60% marks for General/EWS/OBC(NCL) and 55% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates. Law Officer candidates require a Graduate Degree with LLB or a 5-year Integrated LLB with the prescribed marks. Assistant Quality Control Officer candidates require a Master's Degree in Chemistry or specified Chemistry disciplines. Diploma Engineer candidates require a prescribed three-year full-time regular engineering diploma with the prescribed marks.

The IOCL Executive Recruitment 2026 selection process consists of a Computer Based Test (CBT), Group Discussion (GD) and Group Task (GT), followed by Personal Interview (PI). The CBT contains 100 objective questions divided into Section A General Aptitude and Section B Domain Knowledge. Section A consists of Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning and Verbal Ability of English Language, while Section B contains 50 domain-knowledge questions. Each question carries one mark and 0.25 marks are deducted for every incorrect answer. The CBT duration is 150 minutes.

Selection consists of Computer Based Test, Group Discussion and Group Task, and Personal Interview. Eligible candidates are shortlisted for GD, GT and PI based on CBT marks in descending order for the respective domain. The final merit list is prepared using a composite score consisting of 85% CBT, 5% GD/GT and 10% Personal Interview, subject to the prescribed minimum qualifying marks.

Selected candidates will be placed in Grade A, Grade A0 or Grade E0 according to the post. Grade A has an initial basic pay of โน50,000 per month with a pay scale of โน50,000-1,60,000 and approximate CTC of โน18.4 lakh per annum. Grade A0 has an initial basic pay of โน40,000 per month with a pay scale of โน40,000-1,40,000 and approximate CTC of โน14.8 lakh per annum. Grade E0 has an initial basic pay of โน30,000 per month with a pay scale of โน30,000-1,20,000 and approximate CTC of โน11.1 lakh per annum.
