Karnataka Police Civil Police Constable Recruitment 2026 for 1421 Posts

Candidates must have passed PUC / 12th Standard or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government. Applicants must satisfy the age criteria prescribed for their respective category and fulfill the physical standards and medical fitness requirements specified in the notification. Both male and female candidates are eligible to apply for the Civil Police Constable posts.

The Karnataka Police Civil Police Constable Recruitment 2026 written examination will be conducted in Offline OMR mode. The examination consists of 100 objective-type questions carrying a total of 100 marks with a duration of 90 minutes. Questions will cover General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Mental Ability, Reasoning and related subjects. A negative marking of 0.25 marks will be applied for every incorrect answer.

Karnataka State Police has announced 1421 vacancies for the post of Civil Police Constable (Men and Women). The recruitment aims to fill constable positions across various police units in Karnataka through a competitive selection process involving written examination, physical tests and document verification.

Selection for Karnataka Police Civil Police Constable Recruitment 2026 will be conducted through a multi-stage process comprising a Written Examination, Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Endurance Test (PET), Document Verification and Medical Examination. Candidates who successfully clear all stages and secure merit-based ranking will be considered for final appointment.

Candidates belonging to General, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B categories are required to pay an application fee of ₹750. Candidates belonging to SC, ST and Category-1 are required to pay ₹500. The application fee must be paid online during the application process and is non-refundable.
