NCL Mining Sirdar and Surveyor Recruitment 2026-Apply for 259 Posts
Northern Coalfields Limited, a Miniratna company and subsidiary of Coal India Limited, has issued Employment Notification Ref. NCL/SING/HR/Direct-Recruitment/2026-27/246 dated 10 July 2026 for regular appointment to statutory mining posts. The recruitment covers Mining Sirdar T&S Grade C and Surveyor T&S Grade B (Mining) posts for deployment across NCL mines and establishments in Singrauli District of Madhya Pradesh and Sonebhadra District of Uttar Pradesh. Candidates must be Indian nationals and must be at least 18 years old and not more than 30 years old as on the crucial date, 05 August 2026, with age relaxation as per Government of India rules. Mining Sirdar applicants must have matriculation with a valid Mining Sirdarship Certificate or eligible mining certificate, valid Gas Testing Certificate and valid First Aid Certificate; alternatively, matriculation with Degree or Diploma in Mining Engineering, valid Overman Competency Certificate, valid Gas Testing Certificate and valid First Aid Certificate. Surveyor applicants must have matriculation with valid Surveyor's Certificate of Competency, or Degree / Diploma in Mining or Mine Surveying Engineering with valid Surveyor's Certificate of Competency.

The selection process will include a Computer Based Test of 100 marks for 90 minutes. Section A will contain 70 multiple choice questions on technical / discipline related knowledge and Section B will contain 30 multiple choice questions on General Knowledge, General Awareness, Reasoning, Verbal and Mental Ability and Quantitative Aptitude. Each question carries 1 mark. There is no negative marking and no marks will be awarded for unattempted questions. The paper will be bilingual in English and Hindi.

Northern Coalfields Limited has invited online applications for 259 statutory mining posts, including 254 Mining Sirdar T&S Grade C posts and 5 Surveyor T&S Grade B (Mining) posts. The posts are for regular deployment across different mines and establishments of NCL in Singrauli District of Madhya Pradesh and Sonebhadra District of Uttar Pradesh.

Selection will be based on candidates' relative score in the Computer Based Test. Candidates who secure the prescribed minimum qualifying marks will be called for scrutiny and verification of documents in order of merit and availability of vacancies. Final appointment will be subject to document verification, medical fitness, character and antecedent verification and fulfilment of all eligibility criteria.

Mining Sirdar T&S Grade C carries basic pay of Rs. 47,330.25 per month, while Surveyor T&S Grade B carries basic pay of Rs. 51,103.12 per month. The probation period for both posts is 6 months. In addition to basic pay, allowances such as DA, attendance bonus, special allowance, transport subsidy and medical facility are admissible as per company rules and the National Coal Wage Agreement.
