RBI Young Professional Engagement 2026

Candidates must be Indian citizens above 21 years and not more than 30 years of age as on 06 July 2026. Applicants must satisfy the post-wise educational qualifications prescribed for the selected Young Professional post. Qualifications include postgraduate, technical or professional degrees in areas such as cyber security, computer science, data science, economics, statistics, finance, public policy, climate studies, artificial intelligence, quantum technology, mathematics or related disciplines, depending on the post.

No written examination pattern has been prescribed in the notification. Selection will be through preliminary screening or shortlisting by a screening committee, followed by document verification and interview.

Reserve Bank of India has invited applications for 12 Young Professional positions across Central Office Departments in Mumbai. The positions cover cyber security, policy analytics, climate risk, credit risk analytics, payment systems, economic research, artificial intelligence, quantum technology, data analysis, financial markets and consumer protection policy research.

Selection for RBI Young Professional posts will be carried out through preliminary screening or shortlisting by a screening committee, followed by document verification and interview. Shortlisted candidates will receive interview call letters by email only. RBI may limit the number of candidates called for interview and its decision regarding screening, interview and engagement will be final.

Selected Young Professionals will receive a fixed monthly stipend of Rs. 1,50,000, subject to applicable tax deductions. No other allowances, residential accommodation or separation benefits will be provided. Emergency dispensary facility for self only will be available within the office premises.

The notification does not mention any application fee. Applications must be submitted by email to yphrmdco@rbi.org.in with the filled application proforma and required documents in PDF format. The total size of PDF attachments must not exceed 5 MB.

Applications must be sent only by email in the prescribed format. The email subject line must be 'YP Application - Post Code - Name of the Candidate'. Candidates applying for multiple posts must send separate emails for each post. The last date for receipt of applications is 06 July 2026. Applications received late, incomplete, without prescribed documents or not in the prescribed proforma will not be considered.

Candidates must submit the scanned application proforma, curriculum vitae, academic transcripts or degree certificates for mandatory and desired qualifications, statement of interest, sample of academic or policy writing and a reference or recommendation letter from a professional referee. Other academic transcripts such as marksheets must be produced when shortlisted for the next stage.
