CriteriaDetails
NationalityCandidate must be an Indian citizen.
Age Limit21 to 35 years as on 01 January 2026. Candidate should not be born after 01 January 2005 and before 02 January 1991.
Age RelaxationAge relaxation is applicable for Uttarakhand SC, ST, OBC, Divyang, ex-servicemen and other eligible categories as per government rules.
Junior Assistant EducationGraduation degree from a university established by law in India or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government.
Junior Assistant LanguageGood knowledge of Hindi and English language.
Junior Assistant TypingHindi typing speed of 25 words per minute on computer. Candidates having English typing speed of 30 words per minute may be given preference.
Junior Assistant Computer KnowledgeAdequate knowledge of computer operation.
Stenographer / Personal Assistant EducationGraduation degree from a university established by law in India or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government.
Stenographer / Personal Assistant LanguageGood knowledge of Hindi and English language.
Stenographer / Personal Assistant SkillHindi shorthand speed of 80 words per minute and Hindi typing speed of 25 words per minute on computer. Candidates having English shorthand speed of 80 words per minute and English typing speed of 35 words per minute may be given preference.
Stenographer / Personal Assistant Computer KnowledgeGood knowledge of computer operation.
Government EmployeesCandidates working in government or semi-government service must produce a departmental no objection certificate.
Character and FitnessCandidates must satisfy character and physical fitness requirements prescribed for service.

For Junior Assistant posts, candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university, have good knowledge of Hindi and English, Hindi typing speed of at least 25 words per minute, and adequate knowledge of computer operations. Preference will be given to candidates having English typing speed of 30 words per minute. For Stenographer Grade-I / Personal Assistant posts, candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree, possess good knowledge of Hindi and English, have Hindi shorthand speed of 80 words per minute and Hindi typing speed of 25 words per minute. Preference will be given to candidates having English shorthand speed of 80 words per minute and English typing speed of 35 words per minute. Computer knowledge is mandatory for all posts.

Selection will be conducted through a multi-stage recruitment process comprising a written competitive examination, typing or stenography skill test, document verification, and preparation of the final merit list. Candidates must qualify both the written examination and the prescribed skill test. In case of a tie in marks, preference will be given to candidates qualifying English typing or shorthand standards and thereafter to the older candidate as per the provisions of the recruitment notification.
