| Written Examination | Selection will be carried out through an objective-type written examination consisting of two papers. |
| Paper I – General Studies | This paper will test General Knowledge of Haryana, General Science, Current Affairs, Reasoning and Mental Ability. It is objective in nature. |
| Paper II – Engineering Discipline | This paper will consist of objective-type questions from the relevant engineering discipline (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics etc.) at degree level and carries major weightage in merit. |
| Negative Marking | Negative marking is applicable as per the notification, generally 1/4th mark deducted for each wrong answer. |
| Interview / Viva-Voce | Candidates shortlisted based on written examination performance will be called for Interview/Viva-Voce to assess subject knowledge, professional suitability and personality. |
| Final Selection | Final merit list will be prepared based on combined performance in the written examination and interview, subject to reservation policy and document verification. |
