Eligibility / Education Qualification
Executive Branch (GS(X)/Hydro Cadre)BE/B.Tech in any discipline with minimum 60% marks from a recognized university.
Pilot / Naval Air Operations Officer (Observer) / Air Traffic Controller (ATC)BE/B.Tech in any discipline with minimum 60% marks. Candidates must have minimum 60% aggregate marks in Class X & XII and at least 60% marks in English in Class X or XII.
Logistics BranchBE/B.Tech with First Class OR MBA with First Class OR B.Sc/B.Com/B.Sc.(H) with First Class along with PG Diploma in Finance/Logistics/Supply Chain Management/Material Management OR MCA/M.Sc.(H) with First Class.
Education BranchM.Sc/MA with minimum 60% marks in specified subjects (Maths, Physics, Meteorology, Oceanography, Atmospheric Sciences) with required subject combinations at graduation level OR BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech with minimum 60% marks in notified Engineering disciplines. Candidates must have minimum 60% marks in Class X or XII.
Engineering Branch (GS)BE/B.Tech with minimum 60% marks in Marine, Aerospace, Metallurgy, Instrumentation, Automobile, or Mechatronics Engineering.
Submarine Technical (Engineering)BE/B.Tech with minimum 60% marks in Production, Control, Aeronautical, Industrial Engineering & Management, Instrumentation & Control, Mechanical or Mechanical with Automation.
Electrical Branch (GS)BE/B.Tech with minimum 60% marks in Electrical, Instrumentation, Power Electronics, Electronics, Telecommunication or Power Engineering.
Submarine Technical (Electrical)BE/B.Tech with minimum 60% marks in Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Telecommunication or Applied Electronics & Communication.

Selection Procedure
Shortlisting Based on Academic PerformanceApplications will be shortlisted based on normalized marks obtained in the qualifying degree. Normalization of marks will be done using the formula prescribed on the Join Indian Navy website.
Degree-wise Shortlisting CriteriaFor BE/B.Tech candidates (completed or final year), marks obtained up to the 5th semester will be considered. For Postgraduate programmes (MSc/MCA/MBA/M.Tech), marks of all semesters will be considered; for final-year PG candidates, pre-final year performance will be taken into account.
SSB Interview IntimationShortlisted candidates will be informed about their selection for the SSB Interview through registered email ID or SMS. Candidates must ensure their contact details remain active and regularly check inbox and spam folders.
Final Merit ListThe final merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in the SSB Interview, subject to availability of vacancies and candidates being declared medically fit.
Degree Proof VerificationCandidates selected in the final merit list must submit proof of completion of the qualifying degree with minimum 60% marks. Failure to meet this criterion will result in cancellation of candidature.
Medical ExaminationAppointment is subject to clearing the induction medical examination conducted at INA, Ezhimala.
Training & InductionSelected candidates will be inducted in the rank of Sub Lieutenant. Only unmarried candidates are eligible. Marriage during training will lead to discharge and recovery of training costs.
Bond & Withdrawal ConditionsCandidates who voluntarily withdraw during training or resign during the probation period will be required to refund the cost of training along with pay and allowances as determined by Government rules.
Salary Structure

Initial Gross SalaryApproximately ₹1,25,000 per month at the rank of Sub Lieutenant
AllowancesAdditional allowances as applicable under Indian Navy rules
Insurance CoverageCompulsory membership under Naval Group Insurance Scheme(NGIS) on contribution basis, applicable during service and post-retirement as per existing regulations
