Candidates must possess a full-time four-year Graduation Degree in Engineering as a regular student or AMIE in the relevant engineering discipline or equivalent qualification from a University/Institution established by law in India and recognized as equivalent to a full-time Engineering Graduation Degree by AICTE, New Delhi. Candidates must also possess working knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari script and knowledge of Rajasthani culture. Final-year or semester candidates may apply but must acquire and produce proof of the required qualification by the date fixed for document verification.

A separate common competitive examination will be conducted for each post and discipline, namely Junior Engineer-I Electrical, Mechanical and Civil. The examination will be conducted through online mode at the examination centres allotted by RVUN. Candidates are required to provide preferences for six examination centres in Rajasthan.

Rajasthan State Power Companies have invited online applications through Advertisement No. RVUN/Rectt.-2026-27/02 for Junior Engineer-I posts in Electrical, Mechanical and Civil disciplines. Recruitment will be conducted jointly for Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd. (RVUN), Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Ltd. (RVPN), Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd. (JVVN), Ajmer Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd. (AVVN) and Jodhpur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd. (JdVVN). The notification provides 740 vacancies across the three disciplines, including Non-TSP and TSP area vacancies.

Candidates will be selected through a common competitive examination conducted separately for Electrical, Mechanical and Civil disciplines. Candidates must provide their company priorities/preferences in the online application, and the submitted preferences will be final and irrevocable. Shortlisted candidates will be required to fulfill the prescribed eligibility conditions and produce the required certificates and documents for verification before appointment.

Candidates appointed as Junior Engineer-I will initially work as Probationer Trainees for two years and receive fixed remuneration of Rs.23,700 per month during probation. After successful completion of probation training, they will be fixed at the minimum first cell of Level-10 in the Pay Matrix with Basic Pay of Rs.33,800 per month. Allowances and other benefits will be payable according to the applicable rules.

The application fee is Rs.1,000 including GST for UR (General) candidates and Rs.500 including GST for SC, ST, BC, MBC, EWS, PwBD (PH) and Saharia candidates. Reserved-category candidates belonging to states other than Rajasthan will be treated as UR (General) candidates and must pay Rs.1,000. Bank transaction charges are payable separately and the application fee is non-refundable.

Eligible candidates can submit online applications from 05 August 2026 to 25 August 2026. Applications through any other mode will not be accepted. Candidates should submit only one application for a particular post, carefully enter their company preferences, upload the prescribed photograph, signature, left thumb impression and handwritten declaration, and verify all information before final submission because changes will not be entertained after clicking the Final Submit button.

Candidates should keep ready a scanned recent photograph, signature in black ink, left thumb impression on white paper in black or blue ink and handwritten declaration in English. Candidates must also possess and produce the relevant Engineering Degree or AMIE qualification, category and reservation certificates wherever applicable, identity documents and other supporting certificates required for eligibility and document verification.
