Bank of Baroda has released the Local Bank Officer Recruitment 2026 notification for appointment of Local Bank Officers on a regular basis. A total of 2,482 vacancies are available across 20 States and Union Territories under Advertisement No. BOB/HRM/REC/ADVT/2026/16. Candidates with a Graduation degree in any discipline and at least one year of post-qualification officer-level experience in a Scheduled Commercial Bank can apply. Local Bank Officer - JMG/S-IGraduation in any discipline from a recognized University / Institution recognized by the Central Government. Candidates must have proficiency in reading, writing, speaking and understanding the local language of the State / UT for which they apply.

The Bank of Baroda Local Bank Officer online examination consists of four sections: English Language, Banking Knowledge, General/Economic Awareness and Reasoning Ability & Quantitative Aptitude. Each section contains 30 questions carrying 30 marks. The total examination consists of 120 questions for 120 marks with a total duration of 120 minutes. English Language is qualifying in nature and its marks are not considered for the final merit list. The other sections are available in English and Hindi. There is a penalty of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

Selected Local Bank Officers will be appointed in JMG/S-I with a pay scale of ₹48,480 - ₹2,000/7 - ₹62,480 - ₹2,340/2 - ₹67,160 - ₹2,680/7 - ₹85,920. One advance increment is granted to candidates having one year or more experience as an Officer in a Scheduled Commercial Bank. In addition to basic pay, candidates will receive applicable allowances, benefits, perquisites and other facilities according to Bank policies and applicable industry-level banking settlements.

ProbationSelected candidates will remain on probation for 12 months of active service from the date of joining.
Service BondSelected candidates must execute a Service Bond requiring them to serve the Bank for a minimum of 3 years or pay an amount equivalent to three months' gross salary, subject to a maximum of ₹2 lakh, if they leave before completing 3 years of active service.
Bond ConditionsThe bond duration and amount payable for breach may be revised according to the Bank's prevailing policies and will be communicated in the offer letter.
