BPSC TRE 4.0 Recruitment 2026-Apply for 32000+ Vacancies
Bihar Public Service Commission has released the notification for the fourth phase of the Teacher Recruitment Examination (TRE-4.0) for appointment of School Teachers in the Education Department, Government of Bihar. A total of 32,388 vacancies have been announced for Primary School Teachers, Middle School Teachers, Secondary School Teachers and Higher Secondary School Teachers. The vacancies include 3,847 posts for Classes 1-5, 8,563 posts for Classes 6-8, 3,877 posts for Classes 9-10 and 16,101 posts for Classes 11-12. Candidates possessing the prescribed educational and teacher-training qualifications along with the required CTET, BTET or STET qualification can apply through the BPSC online portal.

Candidates must be Indian citizens and must possess the educational and professional qualifications prescribed for the respective School Teacher category. Primary School Teachers (Classes 1-5) require the prescribed Senior Secondary / equivalent qualification along with the applicable elementary education qualification such as D.El.Ed, B.El.Ed or equivalent and the required teacher eligibility qualification. Middle School Teachers (Classes 6-8) require the prescribed graduation / postgraduate qualification in the relevant subject along with the required teacher-training qualification and CTET / BTET as applicable. Secondary School Teachers (Classes 9-10) generally require a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in the concerned subject with the prescribed minimum marks along with B.Ed or equivalent teacher-training qualification and STET Paper-I. Selection will be based on performance in the BPSC Teacher Recruitment Examination along with fulfillment of the prescribed educational, professional and teacher eligibility requirements. The pay scale varies according to the teaching level. Primary School Teachers carry a starting basic pay of ₹25,000 per month plus applicable state government allowances and benefits. Middle School Teachers carry a starting basic pay of ₹28,000 per month plus applicable allowances. Secondary School Teachers carry a starting basic pay of ₹31,000 per month plus applicable allowances. Higher Secondary School Teachers carry a starting basic pay of ₹32,000 per month plus applicable allowances.
