ISRO Scientist/Engineer SC Recruitment 2026
Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Department of Space, Government of India has invited online applications for recruitment to the post of Scientist/Engineer 'SC' in Electronics, Mechanical and Computer Science. A total of 175 tentative vacancies are notified in Level 10 of the Pay Matrix. Eligible BE/B.Tech or equivalent degree holders can apply online from 27 August 2026 to 16 September 2026. Selection will be based on Written Test/CBT followed by Interview.

Candidates must possess BE/B.Tech or equivalent degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science Engineering with minimum 65% marks or CGPA 6.84/10. The graduation must have been completed within the stipulated duration of the course. The maximum age is 28 years as on 16.09.2026, with applicable relaxation for serving Central Government civilian employees, Ex-servicemen and PwBD candidates.

The selection process consists of a Written Test/Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by an Interview. The Written Test has 80 discipline-specific MCQs in Part A for 80 marks with 90 minutes duration and 15 aptitude/ability MCQs in Part B for 20 marks with 30 minutes duration. Part A has negative marking of 1/3 mark for each wrong answer, while Part B has no negative marking. Total Written Test marks are 100.

ISRO has notified 175 tentative vacancies for Scientist/Engineer 'SC' in Electronics, Mechanical and Computer Science. The vacancies include 99 posts for Electronics, 52 for Mechanical, 21 for Computer Science and 3 posts in the corresponding disciplines under the autonomous body Physical Research Laboratory (PRL).

Selected candidates will be appointed as Scientist/Engineer 'SC' in Level 10 of the Pay Matrix with a minimum basic pay of โน56,100 per month. The Level 10 pay matrix extends up to โน1,77,500. DA, HRA and Transport Allowance are payable as per applicable rules, along with other Central Government benefits.

The non-refundable Application Fee is โน250 for all posts. Initially, all candidates have to pay โน750 as processing fee. Candidates who are exempted from payment of application fee, including women, SC/ST, PwBD and Ex-servicemen, receive full refund of the processing fee if they appear in the Written Test/CBT. Other candidates who appear in the Written Test receive โน500 refund after deduction of the โน250 application fee.
