Candidates applying for Group-03 posts must possess the educational, technical or professional qualification prescribed under the relevant departmental recruitment rules for the post. For Group-03, candidates are required to have passed the prescribed diploma or higher qualification in the relevant subject as specified by the concerned department. The minimum age is 18 years and the general maximum age is 40 years, while the maximum age limit may extend to 45 years for eligible categories including SC, ST, OBC, women candidates and certain government employees as prescribed by Madhya Pradesh rules. Age is calculated as on 01 January 2026.

MPESB Group-03 Combined Recruitment Examination 2026 will be conducted through an online examination. The examination consists of one paper carrying 200 marks. The paper contains 100 marks from General Knowledge, General Hindi, General English, General Mathematics, General Reasoning Ability, General Science and General Computer Knowledge, and 100 marks from subject-based questions related to the applied post.

MPESB has announced 1,040 vacancies under the Group-03 Sub Engineer, Manchitrakar, Laboratory Technician and other equivalent posts Combined Recruitment Examination 2026. The vacancies include direct recruitment, backlog recruitment and contractual recruitment posts across various Madhya Pradesh government departments, boards, corporations and institutions.

Selection will be based on performance in the MPESB Group-03 Combined Recruitment Examination. Candidates who obtain the prescribed minimum qualifying marks will be included in the eligible candidates list. The concerned department or institution will subsequently complete the appointment process according to its applicable recruitment rules, eligibility conditions, reservation requirements and available vacancies.

The salary depends on the post and department. The notification includes posts carrying pay scales such as ₹28,700-₹91,300 (Level 7), ₹22,100-₹70,000 (Level 5) and ₹25,300-₹80,500 (Level 6). The applicable pay scale will depend on the post against which the candidate is selected.

For direct recruitment and contractual recruitment posts, unreserved candidates are required to pay ₹500 per question paper. Madhya Pradesh domicile SC, ST, OBC, EWS and Divyangjan candidates are required to pay ₹250 per question paper. No examination fee is payable for direct recruitment backlog posts. MP Online kiosk applicants are required to pay an additional portal charge of ₹60, while candidates applying through a registered citizen user account are required to pay a portal charge of ₹20.

The online application process starts on 18 August 2026 and the last date for submission is 01 September 2026. Application correction is available from 18 August 2026 to 06 September 2026. The examination starts from 06 October 2026. Candidates must select their post preference carefully and must possess the prescribed qualification on the date of application. The examination will be conducted according to the prescribed Group-03 syllabus. Candidates must follow MPESB instructions regarding Aadhaar registration, photo identity proof, examination centre, application correction, reservation certificates and document verification.

Candidates should keep their educational qualification certificates, diploma certificates, marksheets, valid photo identity proof, Madhya Pradesh domicile certificate where applicable, caste certificate, EWS certificate, disability certificate, employment or service certificate where applicable, contractual employee documents where applicable and other documents supporting their eligibility and reservation claims ready for the recruitment process.
