United India Insurance Company Limited (UIIC) has released the official notification for recruitment of Administrative Officers (Scale-I) in Generalists and Hindi Officers disciplines. A total of 225 vacancies have been announced, including 200 posts for Generalists and 25 posts for Hindi Officers. Administrative Officer – GeneralistsGraduate Degree/Post Graduate in any discipline, including Engineering, Arts, Science, Commerce, Agriculture, Data Science etc., from a recognized University with minimum 60% marks in either of the degree examinations (55% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates). Qualification must be obtained through the prescribed 10+2+3 or equivalent system from a University/Institute recognized by UGC/AICTE as applicable. Working knowledge of Computer is mandatory. Age: 21–30 years as on 30.06.2026, subject to applicable age relaxation.
Administrative Officer – Hindi OfficersMaster's Degree from a recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory/elective subject or medium at degree level OR Master's Degree in English with Hindi as a compulsory/elective subject or medium at degree level OR Master's Degree in another subject with the prescribed Hindi/English medium and subject combination as specified in the notification, with minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates). Working knowledge of Computer is mandatory. Age: 21–30 years as on 30.06.2026, subject to applicable age relaxation.

UIIC has invited applications from eligible Indian Citizens for Administrative Officer (Scale-I) posts in Generalists and Hindi Officers disciplines. For Generalists, candidates must have a Graduate Degree/Post Graduate qualification in any discipline from a recognized University with at least 60% marks, or 55% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates. For Hindi Officers, candidates must possess a qualifying Master's Degree in Hindi, English or another subject with the prescribed Hindi/English combination and 60% marks, or 55% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates. Working knowledge of computers is mandatory. The age limit is 21 to 30 years as on 30 June 2026, with applicable category-wise relaxation.

Negative MarkingOne-fourth of the marks assigned to a question will be deducted for each wrong answer in the Preliminary and Main Objective Examinations. No penalty for unanswered questions.
Sectional Cut-OffCandidates must qualify each section/test by securing the minimum passing marks determined by the Company and must also secure the prescribed overall qualifying score.

The selection process consists of Tier-I Preliminary Examination, Tier-II Main Examination including Objective and Descriptive Tests, followed by Interview. The Preliminary Examination is common to Generalists and Hindi Officers and consists of 100 questions for 100 marks in 60 minutes. Generalists Main Examination consists of 200 objective questions for 250 marks in 150 minutes followed by a 30-mark English Descriptive Test of 30 minutes. Hindi Officers Main Examination consists of 150 objective questions for 200 marks in 120 minutes followed by a 50-mark English/Hindi Descriptive Test of 60 minutes. There is a penalty of one-fourth of the marks assigned to a question for every wrong answer.

The Generalist vacancies include ST-18, SC-30, OBC-62, EWS-22 and UR-68. Hindi Officer vacancies include ST-1, SC-4, OBC-7, EWS-2 and UR-11. PwBD reservation is provided horizontally as prescribed under the RPwD Act, 2016.

Tier I – Preliminary ExaminationOnline Objective Test common to both Generalists and Hindi Officers. Candidates must qualify each section as well as the overall qualifying score. Adequate candidates from each category will be shortlisted for Tier II.
Tier II – Main ExaminationGeneralists: Objective Test of 250 marks followed by 30-mark Descriptive Test. Hindi Officers: Objective Test of 200 marks followed by 50-mark Descriptive Test.
Descriptive TestGeneralists have an English Language Descriptive Test consisting of Letter Writing and Essay. Hindi Officers have English/Hindi Language Descriptive Test consisting of English Essay, Hindi Essay, Hindi Letter Writing and English-Hindi/Hindi-English Translation.
InterviewCandidates qualifying the applicable Main Examination stages are shortlisted for Interview. Candidates may be called for interview up to three times the vacancies of the respective category/discipline.
Final Selection – GeneralistsFinal merit is prepared using Tier-II Main Objective Test and Interview marks in the ratio of 75:25. Preliminary Examination and Descriptive Test marks are not considered for final merit.

Administrative Officer (Scale-I) carries a basic pay scale of ₹82,485–₹1,56,745. The approximate gross monthly pay is ₹1,10,000 at Metropolitan centres. In addition to basic pay and admissible allowances, selected candidates are entitled to Gratuity, Leave Travel Subsidy (LTS), Medical Benefits, Group Personal Accident Insurance, National Pension System (NPS) and leased accommodation as per Company rules.

Guarantee BondSelected candidates must undertake to serve the Company for a minimum of five years including the probation period. Resignation before completion of the bond period attracts liquidated damages as prescribed in the notification.
Medical ExaminationAppointment is subject to satisfactory medical examination and verification of credentials, certificates and antecedents.

False InformationIncorrect, false or incomplete information or suppression of material facts may lead to cancellation of candidature and termination of service even after appointment.
