Integral Coach Factory Act Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Notification for 1010 Posts
Integral Coach Factory (ICF), Chennai has invited online applications for engagement of 1010 Act Apprentices for the 2026-27 training session under the Apprentices Act, 1961. The vacancies are available for Freshers and Ex-ITI candidates in trades including Carpenter, Electrician, Fitter, Machinist, Painter, Welder, MLT-Radiology, MLT-Pathology and PASAA. Eligible candidates can apply online from 08 August 2026 to 07 September 2026.

Candidates aged 15 to 24 years for ITI candidates and 15 to 22 years for Non-ITI candidates as on 07 September 2026 are eligible, subject to applicable age relaxation. Freshers require the prescribed Class 10 or Class 12 qualification, while Ex-ITI candidates require Class 10 with minimum 50% marks and the relevant National Trade Certificate issued by NCVT or SCVT. Candidates possessing higher qualifications such as Degree or Diploma are not eligible, except MLT candidates for whom Class 12/HSC is prescribed.

Integral Coach Factory (ICF), Chennai has released Notification No. APP/01/2026-2027 for engagement of 1010 Act Apprentices for the 2026-27 training session. Vacancies are available for Carpenter, Electrician, Fitter, Machinist, Painter, Welder, MLT-Radiology, MLT-Pathology and PASAA trades under Freshers and Ex-ITI categories.

Selection will be made on the basis of a merit list prepared from Standard X marks. Freshers will be allotted trades according to merit, trade preference and availability of vacancies, while Ex-ITI candidates will be trained in the trade for which they possess the ITI certificate. Selected candidates must complete document verification, medical examination and the prescribed apprenticeship contract.

Freshers who passed Class 10 will receive Rs.8,200 per month, while Class 12 freshers and Ex-ITI certificate holders will receive Rs.9,600 per month. During the second year of apprenticeship training, the prescribed minimum stipend will increase by 10%.

Candidates other than SC, ST, PwBD and Women candidates are required to pay a processing fee of Rs.100 plus applicable service charges through online mode. SC, ST, PwBD and Women candidates are exempted from payment of the application fee.
