SSC CPO Recruitment 2026-Apply for 1800+ Posts

Candidates applying for SSC CPO 2026 must generally possess a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university or equivalent qualification as on the closing date of online applications. The SSC CPO 2026 examination consists of Paper-I, Physical Standard Test (PST)/Physical Endurance Test (PET), Paper-II and Detailed Medical Examination (DME). Paper-I consists of 100 objective questions for 100 marks, while Paper-II consists of 200 objective questions for 200 marks. Paper-I and Paper-II have four sections each covering General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Comprehension. There is negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-I and 0.50 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-II. PST/PET and DME are qualifying in nature.

SSC has notified a total of 1,871 tentative vacancies under the Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces Examination, 2026. The vacancies include 205 Sub-Inspector (Executive) posts for Delhi Police-Male, 112 Sub-Inspector (Executive) posts for Delhi Police-Female, 1,320 Sub-Inspector (GD) posts in CAPFs and 234 Sub-Inspector (Fire) posts in CISF. CAPF vacancies are distributed among CRPF, BSF, ITBP, CISF and SSB for male and female candidates.

The SSC CPO selection process comprises Paper-I, PST/PET, Paper-II, Detailed Medical Examination/Review Medical Examination and Document Verification. Candidates are shortlisted for PST/PET on the basis of Paper-I performance. Only candidates qualifying PST/PET can appear in Paper-II. Candidates qualifying Paper-II are shortlisted for medical examination. Candidates who qualify DME/RME and Document Verification are considered for final selection. Final selection and allocation of post/force are based on Paper-II performance, including applicable NCC bonus marks, and the preferences exercised by candidates.
