Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has released Advertisement No. 04/2026 for the Common Recruitment Examination for Group-A and Group-B Gazetted (Technical) Posts-2026 (Part-I). A total of 155 vacancies are available for Agriculture Development Officer, Horticulture Development Officer, Veterinary Officer, Assistant Director (Sericulture) and Dairy Development Officer under the Government of Arunachal Pradesh. Agriculture Development Officer (Group-A)Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from a recognized university. Candidate must satisfy the mandatory PRC, APST and Indigenous Tribal Language Proficiency criteria.
Horticulture Development Officer (Group-A)Bachelor of Science in Horticulture from a recognized university. Candidate must satisfy the mandatory PRC, APST and Indigenous Tribal Language Proficiency criteria.
Veterinary Officer (Group-A)Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry with registration in the Arunachal Pradesh State Veterinary Council. Candidate must satisfy the mandatory PRC, APST and Indigenous Tribal Language Proficiency criteria.
Assistant Director (Sericulture) (Group-A)Bachelor Degree in Science with Post Graduate Diploma in Sericulture from a recognized university/Institute. Candidate must satisfy the mandatory PRC, APST and Indigenous Tribal Language Proficiency criteria.
Dairy Development Officer (Group-B)Bachelor of Technology in Dairy Technology or equivalent. Equivalent degrees include B.Sc. in Dairy Technology; B.Sc./B.Tech in Food Technology (4 years); B.Sc. Microbial & Food Technology (4 years); and B.Tech Bio-Technology.
General EligibilityCitizen of India, inhabitant of Arunachal Pradesh holding valid PRC, original inhabitant holding APST Certificate and able to speak an Indigenous Tribal Language as prescribed.
Age Limit21 to 35 years as on 30 September 2026. Relaxation includes up to 5 years for APST, 10 years for PwBD and 15 years for APST PwBD, with other applicable Government relaxations.

Candidates must be citizens of India and satisfy the mandatory Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC), Indigenous Status/APST and Indigenous Tribal Language Proficiency criteria. Post-wise educational qualifications apply. Minimum age is 21 years and maximum age is 35 years as on 30 September 2026, with prescribed relaxations.

APPSC Common Recruitment Examination 2026 Selection Procedure

Stage 1Written examination: General English & General Studies, Concerned Subject Paper-I and Paper-II.
Stage 2Minimum 33% aggregate and 20% in each paper are required for viva-voce; PwBD candidates require 20% aggregate and 10% in each paper.
Stage 3About three times the advertised vacancies may be invited for viva-voce based on written marks.
Stage 4Viva-voce carries 50 marks and forms part of the 500-mark selection scheme.
Screening TestIf applicants exceed the requisite ratio, a 200-mark objective Recruitment Test may be conducted. It is screening only and its marks are not counted in final merit.

Selection comprises written examination and viva-voce. Candidates need the prescribed aggregate and paper-wise minimum marks for viva-voce. About three times the vacancies may be called for viva-voce. A 200-mark objective Recruitment Test may be used as a screening test when required; its marks are not counted in final merit.
