Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) has invited online applications for recruitment of Generalist and Specialist Officers in various scales for 2026-27. A total of 291 vacancies are available in JMGS-I, MMGS-II and MMGS-III. Eligible candidates can apply online from 29 August 2026 to 15 September 2026. Selection will be based on Online Examination followed by Interview.

Educational qualification, age and post-qualification experience vary by post. Manager (Branch Management) requires graduation with 3 years' banking experience including 2 years in branch banking. Manager (IT) requires B.E./B.Tech, MCA or M.Sc. in relevant disciplines with 5 years' IT experience including 3 years in Banking/BFSI. Other specialist posts require relevant technical/professional qualifications and prescribed post-qualification experience. Assistant Manager (Security) requires graduation plus a computer/IT qualification and prescribed JCO/Police/Paramilitary experience.

The Online Examination consists of 100 objective-type questions with a total of 100 marks and 2 hours duration. For Generalist Officer (Branch Management), the paper consists of English Language (25 questions/25 marks/30 minutes) and Professional Knowledge (75 questions/75 marks/90 minutes). For all other posts, it consists of English Language (25/25/30 minutes), General Awareness with special reference to Banking Industry (25/25/30 minutes) and Professional Knowledge (50/50/60 minutes). There is a 1/4 mark penalty for each wrong answer.
